There was no need for a scoreboard Saturday at McNair High School in Stockton. The silence said plenty. The Tokay Tigers varsity wrestling team won the Tri-City Athletic League so handily that by the finals, the crowd erupted every time the Tigers lost a match. The final tally was 268 for Tokay followed by West with 164 points and St. Mary’s at 144.5.

The Tigers had wrestlers in 10 of the 14 finals and won the heaviest six weight classes. The string of individual titles started with Sam Williams at 160 pounds followed by KC Kranich (170), Eric Stipe (182), Chris Schaftlein (195), Austin Mitchell (220) and Clint Schallberger (HWT). Bryan Gonzalez (138) also won.
