Josh Richart scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures as visiting Forest Lake Christian edged Elliot Christian, 65-62, in the boys basketball preseason opener for both teams on Monday night.

Bubba Wall scored 27 points for the Eagles and Trip Manley added 10 points as Elliot Christian overcame an early 32-22 deficit to take a 44-42 lead with 2:45 remaining in the third quarter on a Colton Passey 3-pointer. The Eagles led, 48-45, heading into the final quarter but then went cold from the field as the Falcons outscored Elliot Christian 20-14 down the stretch to escape with the win.
