The youngsters came of age and the Tokay Tigers varsity football team broke through last fall.

With most of the core players from a team that went 2-8 in 2011, Tokay (7-4) turned things around in a big way, making the playoffs for the first time since 2009 while also ending a five-year drought against rival Lodi Flames. The Tigers, whose season ended with a first-round loss to Pitman, are now out to return to the postseason and prove that last fall’s resurgence was no fluke.
