Great expectations: Elliot Eagles thinking football playoffs

After four straight losing seasons, Elliot Christian High School head football coach Dean Davis feels he finally has a postseason contender for the first time since his 2006 team went 7-4 and lost in the first round in the section playoffs.

While Davis stops just short of making a Joe Namath-style guarantee that his team will win the Central California Athletic Alliance championship and capture the section title, Davis all but says that anything less than the playoffs this year will mean his squad missed its goal.
