Tonight features super sophomore verses super sophomore Round 2 at Delta College’s Blanchard Gym. That is where Lodi native Kat Tudor of the St. Mary’s Rams varsity girls basketball team takes on Sabrina Ionescu and the Miramonte Matadors of Orinda. It’s a match of the Rams, MaxPreps.com’s 13th ranked team in the state, and the No. 9 Matadors behind two of the elite guards in their class. They play in the first round of the CIF State Championship Open Division at 7 p.m.

The meeting comes a year after the teams met in the same round of the playoffs and the Rams won a wild affair 63-62. Tudor and Ionescu, both at 5-foot-11, led their respective teams with 19 points before St. Mary’s bowed out to Bishop O’Dowd in the semifinals.
