His team might not have gotten the win, but Julius Thomas definitely made his mark on the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday in Orlando, Fla. Thomas, a Tokay High graduate and former stellar basketball star for the Tigers, caught the West’s only touchdown pass in the 25-8 loss.
Thomas, a tight end who played one year at Portland State after a standout basketball career with the Vikings, grabbed a 5-yard pass from Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle with 2:44 left in the second quarter. Enderle also found Thomas for the 2-point conversion, making Thomas responsible for all of the West’s points.
