Taitum Herrington’s sacrifice has paid off — and it will continue to pay off for the next four years.

Her countless hours in the pool and year-round dedication to her sport were recently rewarded when the Tokay High School water polo standout signed a National Letter of Intent with Cal State Northridge.

It is unfortunate that water polo results are typically reported in the newspaper purely based on goals scored. There is no doubt that Taitum's offensive skills are impressive. However, only if you have had the opportunity to see Taitum's shut down defense do you really know how she can impact a game! CSU Northridge is lucky to have this fearless warrior. Bring on the collegiate competition, so that she can cut them down to size too. Defense rocks!
