    another Typ-o...
Should be Ali Smith in this sentence instead of Sophia Ellerman:
"With two outs and two on in the bottom of the second, Sophia Ellerman(Ali Smith) drilled a tough-to-handle line drive, which was dropped by Franklin's first baseman. That error scored Bree Spradling and Magana, giving Lodi a 2-0 lead.

"It's exciting for her (Sophia)(s/b Ali) because she's still nervous about being a freshman and being on varsity, but that just built her confidence right there," Guardado said."
Not to discount Sophia Ellerman's contributions to the team, she had 2 base hits during the game and deifnately contributed to the win! But the particular play above is mis-stated.
Also, should be Smith instead of Kniss:
(Smith)Kniss, Ellerman and Aja Secheslongloff are three newcomers who have already made key contributions early in the season.
Kniss isnt eligible to play until April 1st, so she hasnt been able (yet) to make a "key contribution."
