Stewart Barber Jr. took an unusual journey to the finish line in the main event of the Toby Jorgensen Memorial Short Track event.

The Stockton rider earned the pole position in the Open A race but was forced to drop back to the third row when he was called for a false start. Still, he managed to win by using a great jump and avoiding an early altercation on Saturday at the Lodi Cycle Bowl.
