Running in his first race of the season, Lodi High Tommy Lomeli turned in a seventh-place finish out of 253 varsity boys runners in Saturday's Bronco Invitational at Willow Hills Reservoir.

He finished the 5K course in 16 minutes and 58 seconds, helping the Flames place 12th in the team standings. Connor Daley finished in 27th place (17:32), Garrett Bertsch was 60th (18:22), Donnie Pette came in 81st (18:43), Daniel Jordan place 170th (20:36), Dillon Olagaray followed in 181st (20:56) and Ethan Sprague was 232nd (23:10).
