In a season full of one-run games, the Tokay Tigers varsity baseball team won the biggest one of all. Now the Tigers are just one win away from advancing to the section championship final in head coach Pat Macfarlane’s magical rookie season.

Tokay manufactured two early runs and used an outstanding defense to back the four-hit pitching of senior Alex Dentoni to edge the Turlock Bulldogs 2-1 in the semi-finals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I South playoffs at the University of the Pacific’s Klein Family Field in Stockton on Wednesday.
