David Cooper hit his first major league homer and drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Boston Red Sox 7-6 on Tuesday night.

Cooper, a Tokay High School graduate, entered in the sixth as a replacement for Blue Jays shortstop Yunel Escobar, who left after he was hit just above the left ankle by a pitch from Jon Lester.
