Most memorable match: Scoring a victory at the Jame Riddle Invite, which gave Anderson his first top-place showing at a non-league tournament.
Anderson was put on his back during the bout, but eventually came back to win by pin.
Most memorable sports moment: Getting a personal best on the pole vault (14 feet, 2 inches) during last spring’s divisional track and field meet.
Worst sports moment: Losing to a subsection opponent that he had wrestled before.

Favorite subject in school: Chemistry. Anderson has applied to BYU and wants to major in chemical engineering.
Pre-match music: Anderson listens to a variety of warm-up songs, including the classical standard ‘O Fortuna’ and different electronic music.

Favorite movie: The Hobbit.

Forget flashy moves or style points. Colin Anderson racks up his victories on the wrestling mat by sticking with the basics.
“Simple stuff,” said Anderson, a Lodi High senior and varsity mainstay. “I’m just a basic wrestler. In the first week, you’ll learn what you need to be successful. Simple takedowns.”
