Tokay Tigers head football coach Louis Franklin

“This team is far more athletic than last year’s team and it’s not even close. Our skill positions are the most talented as a group since I’ve been here. For a public high school, it can’t get much better than this.”

The Tokay Tigers varsity football team won eight games last year and seven the year before in what appears to be a renaissance for Tigers’ football. The team loses some good skill players from those teams, but the guys that are set to fill in those roles appear good enough to keep Tokay a playoff contender.

The Tigers should be favored in each of their five pre-league games if history serves, which could be good considering that the Tri-City Athletic League has gotten tougher.
