Toughened Tigers tasting victories and playoffs at last

The grass on Tokay High School's practice field was slick and muddy on Thursday, having been peppered by rain all afternoon. Past 4:30 p.m., it already gets too dark out to practice. Over a week into November, and the Tigers are still playing football — finally playoff bound for the first time in three years.

"It feels amazing," said junior wideout Travis Dart, whose 11th-seeded Tigers start the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs against No. 6 Pitman.
