Louis Franklin liked what he saw at the Tokay Tigers’ scrimmages this past weekend.

Facing off against Natomas and Lathrop, the Tigers successfully moved the ball, tackled well in space and avoided mental lapses — in other words, a one-eighty from the habits that doomed Tokay in 2011.
