In kicking off the San Joaquin Athletic Association season on Thursday, Lodi’s and Lincoln’s boys cross country teams staged a nailbiter. But that thriller at Lodi Lake between the two league frontrunners was decided in controversial fashion.
The Flames defeated the defending champion Trojans, 23-35, after Lincoln’s first-place runner was disqualified for impeding and pushing during the race.
