Rancho Christian 75, Lodi 65 Boys basketball: Flames drop a close one in second round of Torrey Pines Tournament

The Lodi Flames varsity boys basketball team had its four-game win streak ended in a game that could have gone either way Friday. The Flames succumbed to the Rancho Christian Eagles of Temecula, 75-65, on the second day of the Torrey Pines Tournament in San Diego. Grant DeAndreis led Lodi with 15 points, but a back-and-forth game got away at the end.

"We were within one point with about two and a half or three minutes left," Lodi coach Dave Nutting said. "We were where we wanted to be, but had to start fouling at the end.
