Lodi Flames sweep at San Joaquin Athletic Association swimming championships

Lodi High School’s swimming teams capped off banner seasons with a sweep of all four meets at the San Joaquin Athletic Association championships this past weekend at Lincoln High School in Stockton.

Cayla Nishizaki led a balanced effort with two first-place finishes to help Lodi’s varsity girls compile 489 points, easily outdistancing second-place Lincoln (366). Led by double winners Mitch Thomas and Devin Nishizaki, Lodi’s varsity boys placed first with 419 points while Lincoln was second with 301.
