Coach/year: Jim Staal is in his sixth year.
Last year: The Flames went 10-0 in the San Joaquin Athletic Association. They took third at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I South tournament and were 12th at the Masters tournament.
Key returners: Brad Reeves, JR Kanemura, Ken Samson, Jacob Coons.
Key additions: Khristian Samson, Cooper Abdellahzadeh.
League favorites: Lodi has to be the favorite with Tracy and Lincoln hoping to challenge.
Noteworthy: This year looked like it might be a transition year for Lodi, but a strong offseason has Staal thinking his team should be tough. A lot will be learned from a difficult preseason schedule.
Coach/year: Louis Franklin is in his first year.
Last year: The Tigers finished Tri-City Athletic League play with five straight wins following a 1-4 start to take second place behind St. Mary’s.
Key returners: Jared Gomes, Frankie North, Nik Hogan, Jon Davis.
Key additions: Addison Gallagher, Cameron Rogero.
League favorite: St. Mary’s is the favorite after taking first last year and finishing sixth at the Masters meet. Tokay and Stagg hope to get in the mix after the Rams.
Noteworthy: Franklin is also Tokay’s athletic director and football coach and likes what he’s got. He takes over for Jeff Tracy who retired after 20 years.
Liberty Ranch Hawks
Coach/year: Andy Petersen is in his fifth year.
Last year: The Hawks finished fourth in the Sierra Valley Conference.
Key returners: Nick Martin, Teddy Tibbetts, Tony Garcia.

League favorite: Vista del Lago is the favorite and one of the top teams in the section. Union Mine should be near the top.
