Zac Costa threw a five-hit shutout to lead the Tokay High baseball team to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Bear Creek Bruins on Wednesday at Billy Hebert Field.

Costa, who struck out six batters and walked three, allowed only three runners into scoring position. The one who did try to score, tagging from third on a sacrifice fly, was gunned down at the plate by left fielder George Branco.
