Sydney Olagary ran in a pack. Tommy Lomeli ran alone. Both ran to San Joaquin Athletic Association cross country individual titles on Friday at Lodi Lake.

Olagary, a sophomore who won with a time of 19 minutes, 40 seconds, was paced by Lincoln's Angie Martinez before out-sprinting her in the final chute to win by one second. Her teammates followed close behind, taking third through seventh place to help the Flames capture an overall team title as well. They all crossed the finish line within 34 seconds of each other.
