- Freshman-Sophomore Boys
The Lodi Flames freshman-sophomore boys water polo team went 2-2 in the NorCal Championships this past weekend in San Mateo. Lodi lost to St. Francis 9-5. Matt Vanderlans had three goals and Walter Plunkett and Noah Carniglia each had one. Brody Nutting had seven saves.
The Flames fell to Los Altos 7-5. Colin Porter scored twice and Vanderlans, Bailey Faszer and Scott Swofford each scored once. Nutting had five saves.
Porter had three goals in Lodi’s 7-5 win over Mitty. Plunkett scored twice and Vanderlans and Marshall Grim each scored once. Nutting had six saves.
Lodi defeated Bellarmine 10-6. Porter netted five goals, Swofford had three and Plunkett added two. Nutting had five saves and Cadence Allen added three.
- Freshman-Sophomore Girls
The Tokay Tigers freshman-sophomore girls water polo team opened the tourney with a 13-3 win over Woodcreek, getting six goals from Victoria Jones. Sophie Connelly had two goals and Cassie Fuentes and Kaitlin Tracy had one apiece. Claire Canestrino added one goal and Francesca Lomeli had one steal. Julia Coon had eight saves and one goal.
The Tigers defeated Las Lomas 13-1. Jones had eight goals and Canestrino and Fuentes added two apiece. Sophie Connelly had one goal and nine steals, Tracy had two assists and Coon added eight saves.
Tokay fell to Campolindo 8-5 in the finale. Connelly had three goals and Jones and Fuentes each had one. Tracy had two assists, Canestrino had one and Coon had nine saves.

The Lodi Flames varsity boys water polo team placed second out of 40 teams in the DeLong Tournament this past weekend.
Tokay went 3-2 and placed fourth.
