Amputee golfer Mike McLatchy keeping his drive alive — on and off the course

"Get Legs!" hollered Lockeford golfer Mike McLatchy as his ball started to slow down approaching the hole on a green at Lockeford Springs Golf Course.

Many golf balls are cheered on with the expression, but when McLatchy says it, an ironic smile consumes his face and he can't help but laugh. The saying, which is spelled out on the license plate of his truck, is more relevant to McLatchy, an above-the-knee amputee, than his ball.
