Quarterback David Simon remained cool during a pressure-packed drive and Sean Scott forced a late fumble as the Lodi Flames varsity football team rallied for a 34-29 victory over the Franklin Yellowjackets at the Grape Bowl in Lodi on Friday.

Simon shook off a late interception and the resilient Flames (4-4, 2-1 Sac Joaquin Athletic Association) began the winning drive from their own 31-yard line with 3:24 remaining. Simon rushed for 25 yards and completed two big passes, including a game-winning 33-yard touchdown strike to Daniel Anaforian with 1:28 remaining.
