Curtis Perkins has been hired as the varsity football coach at McNair High School.

Perkins received word last weekend from Eagles athletic director Quincey Noble that he will succeed Phil Soria, who accepted a teaching position at Edison. Soria compiled a 21-23 record and his teams appeared three times in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs from 2010-13. McNair lost several players to injuries last season and went 1-9.
