Girls basketball: Flames burn Buffaloes

Lodi 59, Amador 6
Jordan Heath had 10 points and Lili Lebaron added nine to lead the Flames. Gianna Maragliano scored eight and Kelly O’Connor, Berkley Anderson and Alyssa Dougherty each sank six.
Alexa Brand had four, Sophia Ellerman and Kendall Richardson three apiece and Taylor Brand and Grace Kuehne two each.
Lodi 65, Vacaville 15
Paige Halligan had 24 points to lead the Flames over visiting Vacaville.
Daniela Suegav and Alexis Acosta each scored 10, Felisha Ornelas netted nine and Sylvina Gutierrez and Abbey King each had six.

It’s been close to two years since the Lodi Flames varsity girls basketball team has handed a beating to anyone like it did Tuesday night. The Flames downed an overmatched Amador Buffaloes team 60-29 in their first home game on Tuesday.
It was the largest margin of victory since January of the 2011-12 season when Lodi beat Franklin by 52 points, according to maxpreps.com.
