Nick Pieracci pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits to lead the Lodi High baseball team past visiting Stagg 14-4 on Friday at Zupo Field. Pieracci had four strikeouts.

The Flames (5-2) broke the game open with four runs in the fifth and six more in the sixth to send the mercy rule into effect. Patrick Armstrong doubled and singled and Matt Clark added two hits. Bryce Williams tripled, Kaz Kanemura doubled and Connor Peterson, Mike Toon, Nick Pieracci and Josh Niemeyer each singled.
