The ending was a disappointment, but the accomplishments were impressive. Despite falling a win shy of their playoff goal, the Tokay Tigers varsity boys basketball team served notice in 2012-13, winning six of its last eight to finish as the Tri-City Athletic League runner-up. That effort was reflected in postseason awards, as five Tigers garnered All-TCAL recognition.
“We definitely did better than I anticipated. They rallied to the moment.”
