Anthony Jory rushed for 129 yards, including TD runs of 13 and 8 yards, to lead the Flames (4-2, 1-0 San Joaquin Athletic Association) over the visiting Titans.
Grayson Dillon had TD passes of 53 yards to TJ Gotelli and 2 yards to Matt Meehleis and Dominic Spadafore scored on a 24-yard run. Dillon finished with 100 yards passing. Jacob Coons kicked three extra points.
On defense, Shane Finley had two sacks and seven tackles and Laton Judd had a sack and a fumble recovery. Spadafore, Batie Tessaro and Daniel Anaforian each had a sack and Fabian Jimenez had an interception.

League play is a brand-new season. A rebirth. A fresh start. And the Lodi Flames varsity football team awoke, right on time.
Down 27-8 early in the second half to the Chavez Titans, the Flames dug deep in their league opener and — for the first time this year — delivered a gutsy response in the face of adversity. In a four-minute span, Lodi erupted for 30 third-quarter points and left the Grape Bowl with a 44-35 victory — the Flames’ first of the year, and one that may have saved their campaign.
