A long layoff resulted in a short playoff stay for the Tokay Tigers varsity softball team. The Tigers committed four errors in a rusty effort and fell to the Woodcreek Timberwolves 8-1 in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I outbracket game on Tuesday in Roseville.
“It was an extraordinary amount of time between games and it showed,” said Tokay coach Robert Harmon, whose team last played on May 3 prior to Tuesday’s game.
