At one point late in the second quarter, Friday night's showdown between the Tokay High and Stagg boys basketball teams was tied at 19-all. Then it was Tiger time. Tokay went on a 20-0 run and Stagg didn't make one field goal during a 13-minute stretch that spanned midway into the fourth quarter as the Tigers rolled to a 52-28 Tri-City Athletic League victory at The Jungle.

"Tokay is really aggressive and against a team like that if you don't come out and match their intensity, you are going to have trouble," said Stagg head coach Tony Espinoza. "We are allowing other teams to dictate the pace of the game. Tokay took over and we had no answer."
