Tokay High School athletic director Louis Franklin announced Tuesday that Travis Okamoto will replace Bobby Hernandez and become the Tigers’ 11th varsity boys coach.

Hernandez, a Tokay alum, headed Tokay for two seasons and compiled a 27-28 record with one playoff appearance. He confirmed in the spring that he was stepping away and had accepted a full-time teaching position in the Bay Area.
