Signed, sealed and delivered. Ten local athletes signed national letters of intent with their colleges of choice during signing day ceremonies on Wednesday.

It was a particularly big day at Tokay High School, as four Tigers — soccer players Nicolas Gonzalez and Krystal Gouveia, swimmer Mary Griffith and water polo player Taitum Herrington — fulfilled their dreams of playing at the next level during a morning signing ceremony.

As a longtime supporter of Tokay Aquatics, I want to congratulate both Taitum Herrington and Mary Griffith. Your years of commitment to the sports you love will now be paying you back with a college education. I have lost my voice numerous times while cheering on your accomplishments over the past 4 years, but it has truly been my pleasure and an honor to do so. May your future successes surpass your imaginations!
