The Flames won both meets at Lincoln High on Saturday, with the girls edging Bear Creek (349-331) and the boys topping Lincoln (385-285).

C.J. Porter and Nic Carniglia both knew it would be close. They just didn't realize how close. A mere two-hundreths of a second were all that separated the Lodi Flames juniors in their 100-yard freestyle thriller during the San Joaquin Athletic Association swimming championships on Saturday.
Porter, a defending San Joaquin Athletic Association champion in the event, touched the wall at Lincoln High in 48.69 seconds.
