Venture Academy point guard Crystal Cervantes scored 11 of her team-high 19 points in the fourth quarter to spark the Mustangs to a 49-43 win over host Lodi Academy Titans on Thursday night in varsity girls basketball action.

Cervantes calmly drained two free throws following a technical foul on Titans guard Rachel Cacho to tie the contest at 43-43. She then hit a 3-pointer to put Venture Academy ahead for the first time in the game with 40 seconds remaining as the Mustangs (21-2) held off the Titans to capture the Mountain Valley League championship with a perfect 12-0 record.
