Pitman 7, Tokay 0 Baseball: Tigers have no answer for the Pride

The Tokay Tigers varsity baseball team had several scoring opportunities slip through its fingers and couldn’t get the big hits and breaks when it mattered most. The Pitman Pride would make the Tigers pay, while handing them an early postseason exit in convincing fashion.

The visiting Pride got a standout performance from Jordan Gonzalez on the mound and a grand slam from Dakota Spillers at the plate, en route to a 7-0 shutout of Tokay in Monday’s Sac-Joaquin Section Division I South outbracket game at Zupo Field.
