The goals were flowing on Tuesday for the Lodi High water polo teams, helping the Flames sweep their San Joaquin Athletic Association opener against Tracy. The Flame boys crushed the Bulldogs 21-3 and the Lady Flames cruised by Tracy 14-6 in Lodi High.

In the boys match, Nick Corniglia led the way with four goals for the Flames and Chris Orgon, Jake Lear, Joe VanderLans and Mitch Thomas scored three each. With Lodi's usual scorers finding the back of the net to help the Flames jump out to an early led, the Flames went to their bench and continued to add to the scoreboard.

    Lady Flames,

Way to maintain your composure in a game where one of your team mates endured a gash over her right eye, another a human bite under water and more than one player received several kicks. I realize this is a very physical game and I can see Tracy as frustrated if Lodi ran up the score, but Coach Rob pretty much shut it down at halftime. Now it is time for Lincoln, good luck tonight ladies and play well.
