The 49ers’ Super Bowl run was fun to watch for new Lodi High School football coach Robert Sperling. Entertaining games? Certainly. But Sperling and offensive coordinator Greg Bishop also enjoyed seeing some of the same misdirection from Colin Kaepernick and company — sometimes right down to formations — that their own Flames will run on the gridiron this fall.

Since taking over for Todd Dillon in December, Sperling has already brought about changes.
