In a fierce battle at Cosumnes Oaks High School, the No. 7 seed Galt varsity boys soccer team made a valiant effort but fell in Saturday's Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV final to the top-ranked Vista del Lago Eagles.
“To lose to them in the league title and the second title is tough on the boys. We trained hard all year,” said Warriors head coach Rue Rodriguez, after posing for a final photograph in front of the goal with his disheartened team.
