Dream fulfilled as Kelsey Connolly signs with Thomas University

For Kelsey Connolly, last Friday was a dream come true. That’s the day the Lodi Flames varsity softball catcher signed her letter of intent to play at Thomas University in Georgia. She made it official in the school’s college and career center in front of her parents, counselor and athletic director Erin Aitken.

The Tokay Tigers varsity baseball team won a non-league match 11-0 over the East Union lancers in Manteca on Friday,  led by Tommy Thomas who went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Baseball: Eagles get defensive in crucial league win over rival Knights

Elliot Eagles pitcher Daniel Hancock tipped his cap to the guys behind him and rightly so. The Eagles were coming off a shutout loss to the Brookside Christian Knights in Stockton on Tuesday. The teams played again at Zupo Field in Lodi on Friday and the Eagles exacted revenge with an 8-4 varsity baseball win behind stellar defense.

Baseball: Motivated Tigers finish off Wolf Pack

The Tokay Tigers varsity baseball team made a league rival pay for its recent non-league loss. Tokay wasn’t happy with its performance in a 5-1 loss to the Oakdale Mustangs last week, and Tri-City Athletic League foe West Wolf Pack paid the price as the Tigers completed a two-game sweep on Thursday, defeating the Wolf Pack 6-1 at Zupo Field in Lodi.
