Christmas memory began with a ride to the airport
It was a week before Christmas and the town was decorated beautifully. We lived in a large white three-story house. The "we" is my mom, dad, my four brothers, four sister, my twin sister Emily and myself.
We woke up bright and early with the snow lightly falling. The family scattered downstairs for a breakfast feast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and orange juice. After we were don't, Mom and dad said they had a big surprise for us. They told us to go upstairs and pack our suitcases; we were all going to Disneyland for the holidays.
Emily and I packed some things, our slippers, socks, jackets, sweat pants, jeans, long-sleeve shirts, and many other winter clothes. After everyone was packed, we loaded everything and everyone into the Excursion. We had to put all of the luggage on the top luggage rack so that we would all fit in the car. Then, we all headed to the airport. We sang Christmas songs, played games, and ate cookies on the way to the airport.
All of a sudden we were there, at the airport! When we went inside the airport, it was bigger than we thought. We checked our luggage in at the counter, except for the few things we were carrying on the plane. Then we went and ate a wonderful pizza at the Pizzaria Cafe' for lunch. Next, we went in the game room and played all sorts of games. Sooner or later, it was four o'clock and time to get on the plane.
The plane was very big and the family sat close together. The plane ride was two hours long, but it went by really fast. We watched the Polar Express movie on the way. I see why they put that on because it was close to Christmas. Finally, we were at Disneyland and we went to our hotel before heading to the park for fun.
We were at the amusement park and we rode three rides, they were the Christmas Glory, the Magic Water Slide and the Mountain Train ride. After the rides, we went to dinner at the hotel and ate with Goofy. It was getting late so we went upstairs and got into our pajamas before we had our hot chocolate. We went to bed early so we could get rested for the busy day tomorrow.
It was finally morning and we headed back to Disneyland. We watched the parade and then we had lunch with Mickey Mouse. Dad took the boys, and mom took the girls as we all headed off for more rides. The rest of the week went by so fast and before I knew it, it was time to go back home.
When we returned home, our whole family was at our house. The tree was decorated with lots of presents around it. My grandmother had cooked a large feast for all of us to eat. She also had baked pies and cakes for dessert. When we were finished, everyone was stuffed. Finally, I heard my sister say to wake up. So, I realized it was all a dream. But the best part is a week later it came true!!
It truly was the best Christmas ever, but then again I am only nine years old. I hope there are more Merry Christmases yet to come.
