Puppy in a box

The night before Christmas, we gathered at the table. We were going to have a feast. After the feast, we started on the letters. After we finished the letters, my dad and I went to go mail them. My dad put Gloria’s, Elizabeth’s, and Christina’s in, but my letter flew away with the wind. My dad and I tried to catch it, but it flew to the sky.

So that night, I couldn’t sleep. I kept worrying that Santa wouldn’t get my letter and not know what I wanted. Then I heard barking. First, I thought I was imagining the barking. Then my sister heard it too. So I toddled downstairs. I reached for one light so I wouldn’t wake my family. The barking got louder. Then, I looked throughout the leaves. I saw a big box with holes. I slowly opened the box. POP! Out came...a puppy!

I got the puppy out of the box. Then I noticed the door was open. I shut the door. Then I went upstairs. I couldn’t have had a better surprise than the cute puppy.
