I had to see Santa Grant Locke Do you believe in Santa? Is he really alive? Does he have any reindeer? These were all the questions I was faced with when I was about 4 1/2 years old. I think yes! On Christmas Eve one day I was helping my mom wrap presents when I overheard my older brothers talking about Santa. They said he wasn’t real, and that’s when I got very mad! I said to myself that Santa is there, and I’m going to take a picture of him just to prove that he was alive. That night I was all hyped up waiting for Santa. I left a tall glass of milk and a dozen cookies for him to stall him. I was waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Midnight! All of a sudden, the chimney dust was coming down. He just popped out. There he was in his big red suit and it actually looked like he was heavier than I thought. I was just about to take a picture when he saw me and told me to come out. I ran out to him and gave him a huge hug. He was very warm and nice and soft, because of his furry jacket. I didn’t want to let go but I had to. He left some presents, ate the cookies, and then he was off. I was extremely happy when Santa had paid to visit to our house, and I saw him. I was so happy I didn’t care that I didn’t take a picture because I only had to prove it to myself. Do I believe in Santa? Does he really exist? Does he have any reindeer? Yes, and I saw him.
