On Sunday, July 12th starting at 8:00 a.m., Downtown Lodi will be the backdrop for a day of races and family fun.

The Delta Velo Racing Team has organized cycling events in the Stockton and Lodi regions for over 10 years. For the past 4 years they have produced a cycling criterium, a "Nascar type" circuit race, in Downtown Stockton. Now, for it's 5th year, Delta Velo is moving it's criterium to Downtown Lodi, where it is being embraced with open arms.

This event, which is presented by Michael David Winery, will bring hundreds of competitors and spectators throughout Northern California to the quaint downtown area of Lodi. Expect an expo area, large crowds, lots of bikes and racers navigating the downtown course at 30 miles per hour with sprints reaching 40 miles per hour.

The day starts at 8:00 a.m. with amateur races and ends with spectacular professional races at 1:00 PM. A free kid's race makes this a great family event.

So come out and watch riders compete for cash prizes or go to www.deltavelo.com to sign up and take a crack at the prizes yourself.

For more information contact Damian Gonzalez at damian@deltavelo.com.
