No middle ground between Islam, Christianity

In reference to your Religion page column by Ibrahim Hooper, "Muslim leader: Jesus and Muhammad are brothers" — with all due respect and no denigration intended, these words are vanity and the work of errors.

There is a strong movement toward unification of some denominations within Christianity itself and also between Islam and Christianity. There is an idea that somehow, truth and peace can come from unification based on a "common ground" understanding and acceptance of error based on inaccurate knowledge and unrighteousness.

Inaccurate knowledge cannot bring real unity without forsaking truth, and forsaking truth for unity's sake is to betray Jesus Christ. Simply, truth has no middle ground, and common ground is always a battleground between belief and unbelief.

The fathomless and unbridgeable chasm between Islam and Christianity is Christ Jesus' divinity and His redemptive gospel, and there is no middle ground in this belief. It is the heart, soul and essence of Christianity — Jesus was born of a Jewish virgin, lived a sinless life, died a propiatory death on the cross for all sinners, was buried and rose again on the third day, was seen by over 500 brethren, ascended into heaven and will return for the believers, all according to the Scriptures.

Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh in this material realm. Christ Jesus is a Jew, as was Miriam and Joseph, His earthly mother and stepfather, and they all practiced Judaism.

We all know what Muslims think and feel about the Jews, and it isn't love and reverence. Jehovah and Allah are not one in the same, nor are Jesus Christ and Muhammad brothers.

This couldn't be true for Islam; neither for Christianity because the truth has no middle ground. Removing Jesus from the Godhead is like taking the groom out of the wedding.

Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

P.S. Thank you, and God bless you for this forum.
