Susan Kramer

“One May 3 my house burned down. This church has held my hand through this whole thing. People took my laundry bag by bag. If it wasn’t for this church here, we wouldn’t have made it.”

Don Armstrong

“This church is full of real people. It’s people that will talk to you and relate to you. You won’t feel that there’s any airs. When things come up people will help out. It’s refreshing to be a part of a group that’s willing and able to do that.”

Christina Aguilar

“I joined 12 years ago. When I first came what really drew me what the prayer room. I know it is the place where God drew me. I lost my home and I moved into a one bedroom apartment with my four kids. (The church) helped me with my finances, transportation, and clothes. It’s a place where people have a heart for others. We’re not just members, we’re a family.”

Loren Hollingsworth

“I didn’t know so many people could make you feel like a friend first coming here. This is the place to make connections to reach out and make those connections and expand on those connections. The pastor is great. He’s not your typical TV pastor with a tone and a presence. Our pastor is just one of us. You can reach out and touch him.”

As the church members filed in to the pews underneath blue and red stained glass windows, a contemporary Christian band began to play, moving with the music and leading the congregation at Westside Assembly Church, soon to be Radiant Life Church, in alternative rock and worship.

“Take me in to the holy of holies,” the band sung as Pastor Bill Rath asked everyone to take in the presence of God.
