- What's next for St. John's Episcopal Church?
The vestry at St. John's Episcopal Church has chosen Jim Stickney of El Cerrito to serve as interim priest beginning in September. Stickney, a retired priest, has filled in at several locations on an interim basis.
On the last two weeks of August, Kate Cullinane, canon to a bishop in Indianapolis, will lead the celebration of the Eucharist.
It could be two years before the congregation chooses a new priest.

Father Harold Clinehens is described as a priest who discusses the Bible in layman's terms rather than in the obscure King James language that people read in Scripture.
Senior Warden Celisse Johnson says that Clinehens is outstanding in making Jesus' life understandable to children and adults alike.
