Bishop Stephen Blaire of the Diocese of Stockton blessed four booklets containing over 9,000 signatures urging congressional leaders to support legislation that would grant permanent residency to 800,000 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals participants on Thursday morning at his Stockton residence, and expressed support for the Dream Act that would protect more than 2 million youths at risk of deportation.

The booklets were then delivered to four congressmen with districts within the Diocese’s boundaries, including Jerry McNerney, Jeff Denham, Paul Cook and Tom McClintock, and copies were also sent to President Donald Trump, Senator Diane Feinstein and Senator Kamala Harris.
