Fun run, carnival and other Easter events set for weekend

In addition to celebration of Christ's Resurrection, a special concert will be held Saturday, March 30. Saturday morning, a fun run, pancake breakfast and carnival will be held. Here are the details:

  • First Baptist Church of Lodi will present its Easter concert "Alive!" at 7 p.m. today at the church, 267 N. Mills Ave. A 70-voice choir and full orchestra will be featured. Admission is free. For information, call 209-334-1332.
  • The Lodi Salvation Army and Bear Creek Community Church will host their annual Easter Run and Fun on this morning at Lodi Lake. A 5K run/walk will be held at 8:10 a.m. and a quarter-mile kids run will be held at 9:15 a.m.
  • An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, including eggs, bacon or sausage, and orange juice, will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Bear Creek Community Church, 11171 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. A free Easter carnival will be held at the church from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Easter egg hunts will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Ave.; after the 10 a.m. service at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Oak St., Lodi; noon at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi; 9:15 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi; and after the 10:30 a.m. service at United Congregational Christian Church, 701 S. Hutchins St., Lodi; and after the 10 a.m. service at Galt United Methodist Church, 571 C St.
